IcyZip
For Humans
What the company does
IcyZip is a free browser tool for moving text and one file at a time, up to 25 MiB, between two devices.
Open icyzip.com on both devices and pair them with a QR code or link.
Text stays in sync while both browsers are open and online.
No account or app installation is required.
Best for
People copying a link, note or small file between a phone and computer.
What sets it apart
Text and file contents are end-to-end encrypted in the browsers.
The relay can see connection metadata.
An optional code comparison checks the peer.
The encryption module, tests and review lab are available under Apache-2.0; the hosted service and relay are proprietary.
IcyZip will remain free.
